Work Wales are currently recruiting for Hygiene Operatives for a busy food manufacturing site based in Carmarthenshire.

The rate of pay is £11.00 - £12.00 per hour.

The hours of work are 16:00pm - 02:00am - Mon - Fri

Understanding of COSHH is essential

Basic Function

To provide an efficient and effective cleaning service within the designated production, external, amenities areas ensuring a high standard of cleaning is delivered and maintained, meeting site expectations.

Key Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Ensuring Hygiene Department targets are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of cost.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained

Specific Hygiene Duties

  • Ensuring all production areas are cleaned to the required standard to enable production commence.
  • Ensuring that all amenities areas are cleaned to the standard required.
  • Ensuring all site hygiene points are supplied with required items at all times.
  • Ensuring all external areas are cleaned to the standard required.
  • Ensuring to inform the Company Management of any machine faults or job quarries.
  • Ensuring all information given to the Hygiene Manager is accurate.
  • Participating in cleaning operations if required.

Health and Safety Duties

  • Maintaining H&S and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring that all staff and visitors in the department wear appropriate PPE at all the times.

General

  • All employees are engaged on the principle that due to pressure of work, or other fluctuating circumstances, they may be asked to carry out any reasonable task.

Additional Responsibilities

  • In common with all other personnel within Cambrian Pet Foods, the Job Holder is required to adhere to the Company's policies on Safety, Hygiene and good housekeeping. Specifically:
  • To take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and that of other persons who may be affected by his/her acts or omissions;
  • To co-operate regarding any duty or requirement imposed on the company, or on any individual by or under any of the relevant statutory provisions, so far as is necessary, to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with;
  • To report to his/her immediate manager any hazard which may be discovered at, or in the vicinity of, the place of work.
  • To safeguard the quality, legality and safety of the product at all times.
