The Company

This well established organisation design and manufacture products for the Oil, Gas and Power industries producing high quality bespoke engineered packages. They boast a large international client base and are responsible for all stages of project execution from design, process, mechanical, electrical, manufacture, testing, packaging and shipping.

Based in Swansea they offer their employees excellent facilities and remuneration.

The Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation, organisation and control of project related items to support the manufacture of our System Packages & Products, including:

  • Validation of purchased items when received, against project requirements, in readiness for use and clearance for payment
  • Supervision of and liaising with our Stores function managing any discrepancies
  • Checking certification of received goods such as Raw Materials & Components, ready for compilation into our Project Records
  • Working closely with our Production Team and Project Managers to ensure that project tasks are planned and completed on time to maintain Production Schedules
  • Supervision of the Document Control function for Project related procedures & manufacturing drawings
  • Carrying out the kitting of materials for each project for fabrication, manufacture and assembly purposes, liaising with the Production Team as necessary
  • Involvement in, and resolution of, any engineering issues that arise, together with our Project Managers & Engineers
  • Compilation of Raw Material Cast Maps and Material Indexes during the build sequence, for inclusion in Project Records
  • Local purchasing of consumables & tooling in support of manufacturing
  • Coordination of local sub-contractors in carrying out functions such as Machining, Painting, Galvanizing, Pickling, Lorries, Cranes & Packing
  • Marking & Tagging of our Products and Packaged Systems in line with project requirements
  • Managing the preservation & packing to meet bespoke project requirements
  • Arranging deliveries of goods with sub-contractors and customers, raising transportation documentation as required

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and qualities:
- Educated to HNC level or similar
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing/engineering environment in similar roles
- Full driving license
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and multitask
- COmputer literate MS Office
- SAGE experience prefered
- A flexible "can do" attitude
- Ability to communicate with customers, staff and shop-floor personnel
- A current forklift and overhead crane operation certificate are desirable
