The Company

This high-tech company specializing in the design, manufacture and operation of electro-based water-treatment products is currently growing and looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer. A dynamic organisation who are expanding globally and have an enviable reputation within their industry. This position will require extensive international travel.

The Role

This role would suit a mechanical engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and looking for an opportunity where they can make a difference and be a real contributor to a dynamic growing company. Duties will include:

• Undertaking surge analysis projects
• Hydraulic design of treatment works
• Addressing general hydraulics queries as they arise
• Analysing and interpreting data
• Working closely with and advising clients and contractor partners
• Using computer-aided design/modelling software
• Working on international and major UK water projects
• Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with managers
• Report writing

• Testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products

Requirements

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering quals (MSc pref)
• Water industry experience essential
• Practical hydraulic steady state and surge analysis experience of pipeline systems
• Pipeline and general design experience in the water sector
• Practical experience of open-channel flow calculations
• A good understanding of water and waste-water treatment processes
• Full UK drivers license and passport
