Work Wales are excited to be working with a large local food manufacturer, to offer an opportunity to join their team as a Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver and Warehouse Operative.

Job Title - Materials Handler Operative

The main purpose of the job is the safe and efficient intake, movement, storage and despatch or food and non-food products on the site.

Principle duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining inventory by identifying, labelling and placing materials and supplies in stock
• Locating materials and supplies by verifying materials and supplies on production orders
• Preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, packing, loading and securing product
• Preparing delivery notes
• Off loading vehicles in accordance with work instructions and carrying out initial quality inspection on all raw materials, ingredients and packaging entering the site
• Maintaining material-handling equipment
• Completing pre-use inspection checks
• Ensuring that finished goods, ingredients, raw materials and packaging is held in storage in appropriate conditions
• Operating within the companies "clean-as-you-go" policy
• Maintaining the tidiness and apperance of external areas on site

The successful candidate:

• Must have a valid UK Counterbalance Forklift Truck License
• Will work closely with production regarding the presentation and storage of raw materials/ingredients and storage of Finished Goods
• Will work closely with Planning and MI Manager regarding deliveries and despatch of goods
• Will be responsible to the Technical Manager on all aspects of food hygiene
