The Company

My client is a high growth tech company in the consumer goods sector, their aim is to provide a simple service without salespeople, hidden extras, or long waiting times. This is an incredibly varied role with opportunities to focus on specific areas that interest you whilst also developing your skills and experience. Attention to detail is critical, you must be able to stick to a brief and Q.A your own work. However, you must also be willing and open to making suggestions if you think there is a better way of doing things.

You will be working closely with the Marketing Manager and Senior Management Team to enable my client to achieve their ambitious growth plans.

A week in the life of a Web Developer might look something like this.

  • Working on API to connect 3rd party finance provider to my client's site

  • Technical SEO optimisation to ensure fast page loading speeds

  • Planning out unique projects with the designer

  • Troubleshooting process issues

  • Setting up automated emails

  • Browser and device testing

Required Technical Experience

  • Experienced at front end development using HTML/CSS/JavaScript (Essential)

  • Experienced at using GIT for version control and comfortable working between a local, staging, and live environment using GIT for deployment (Essential)

  • Experienced in creating pixel-perfect responsive HTML from supplied designs with valid HTML that provides a great user experience across different screen sizes and devices (Essential)

  • An understanding of coding best practices and how they affect security, accessibility, and SEO performance (Essential)

  • Experience integrating with payment gateways and other systems using custom PHP coding (Preferred)

  • Experienced at using SCSS (Preferred)

  • Previous experience working with Laravel (Desirable)

  • Previous experience working with Expression Engine CMS and/or CodeIgniter (Desirable)
