We are currently recruiting for a Depot Manager for our client's Grays Depot, which operates a fleet of mobile cranes on a daily basis. The successful candidate will oversee all operational aspects of the depot, ensuring exceptional service delivery, safety compliance, and efficient fleet coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage crane operators, slingers, supervisors, fitters, and support staff
• Plan workforce, fleet use, servicing, and maintenance
• Ensure staff training, compliance, and safety standards are met
• Oversee depot admin, documentation, and hire/return processes
• Monitor performance and produce regular KPI reports
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure top-level service
• Manage staffing, recruitment, and absence
• Uphold high standards in depot cleanliness, health & safety, and vehicle upkeep

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven leadership in Hire, Transport, Construction, or Logistics
• Knowledge of crane or heavy plant operations (advantageous)
• Strong planning, communication, and people management skills
• IT literate with a focus on results and safety compliance
• Customer-focused with the ability to perform under pressure
