Senior Data Analyst - Full Time Permanent Role

Up to £40,000 Per Annum

Due to rapid company growth my client has a requirement for a further talented senior data analyst. My client is a leading UK based litigation funding expert. My client funds a panel of carefully vetted law firms who require the money to meet litigation costs associated with their specialist areas. The Senior Data Analyst role is part of a small team who based across several locations. You will be based at the Pontypridd office.

Purpose of the role

You will be reporting to, and working closely with, the Head of Data Analysis to support the operations team for the organisation.

You will be responsible to produce periodic and ad hoc analytical reports and MI Packs, financial model development and general data manipulation and analysis to support the business on a day-to-day basis and to deliver the company's longer-term strategic vision.

You will also be:

• Providing administrative support to the operations team
• Working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes to tight deadlines
• Assisting with general ad-hoc administration when required
• Carrying out effective data analysis and preparation to ensure that the data is reliable
• High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
• Working with both internal & External staff and consultants to utilise data to solve business-critical challenges
• Liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders, across analytics projects
• Working closely with the Head Data Analyst to create plans and forecasts for the coming year
• Publishing analysis and outcomes to the wider business

Requirements for the Senior Data Analyst

• We are looking for an experienced analyst with a keen eye for detail and strong Excel skills to join the department
• You will have a structured yet adaptable approach to your work and have a solid background in reporting and presenting
• Ideally, you are a highly analytical, detail orientated, organised and creative problem solver who relishes maximizing the power of data
• Degree educated or have a background in Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics and possess a good knowledge of writing SAS or SQL/Access database queries and Excel with the ability to graphically present results in the most appropriate form
• You will need data awareness and manipulation skills, data mining, cleansing and interpretation skills
• Ideally, you will have some experience in model use or model development
• You will have outstanding presentation and strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Strong numeric, analytical and report writing skills are essential
