The Company

This high-tech company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and operation of electro-based water-treatment products is currently growing and looking to hire an experienced Wastewater Process Engineer. This dynamic organisation are expanding globally and have an enviable reputation within their industry.

The Role

A senior/principal level wastewater process engineer is required as the process technical lead in the UK for this organisation. You will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of best-in-class projects assigned to the department and directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance. Duties will include:

  • Technical leadership for wastewater process engineering/sludge and biosolids management.
  • In country technical point of contact for the organisation
  • Chemical/process engineering calculations
  • Design reviews
  • Process optimisation and troubleshooting process issues
  • Client liaison on behalf of Hydro
  • Oversee/witness process commissioning as required
  • Operational and asset management support
  • Data management
  • Support business development activities
  • Ensure site is operated in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
  • Supervision of daily tests of sludge and effluent as required
  • Regular report writing as required by head office
  • Ensure good working practices are always adhered to

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Qualified to a degree level in chemical engineering or a related discipline
  • Able to demonstrate both expertise and extensive experience in the fields of domestic/wastewater treatment processes, industrial wastewater/effluent treatment processes as well as sludge dewatering and biosolids management
  • International Travel will be a key component of this role, with the potential to being overseas for up to a month at a time
  • Ability to challenge conventional processes and bring value-added engineering solutions to the business while maintaining a commercial appreciation
  • Dynamic attitude towards project improvements while demonstrating strong problem - solving abilities
  • Capacity to find creative solutions and doing so within business constraints
  • Valid Passport & Drivers Licence
  • Strong IT Skills
