Production - Pulper Operative

12 Hour Continental Shift Patterns (Days & Nights)

The Role
Ensuring the continuous running of the paper mill. Feeding the pulper according to the daily loading sheet in compliance with the working instructions and the safety guide lines.

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

• Pick bales of pulp / converting broke, de-wire (pulp unit and single bale) and load onto conveyor
• in line with specified loading schedule, entering details into stock management system
• Be familiar with the functioning and automation of referent plant equipment
• Operate the de-wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors and steel wire baler
• Identify potential contaminants in bales and isolate
• Complete routine checks on equipment and installation in the working area and report any faults identified
• Operate equipment in accordance with training guidelines
• Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
• Assist with the operation and cleaning of the paper machine if required, including all tasks where trained
• Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety

Experience of a production/manufacturing environment is desirable

Pay Rate: £11.20 Base Rate + 30% Shift Allowance

Hours of Work: 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 2 years production experience
• Have an understanding of machinery and machine operation
• Be punctual and reliable
