We have a great opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join an established business in Port Talbot.

Responsible for the purchasing direct materials, you will be carrying out the following duties:

• Ensuring that materials ordered are fit for purpose and to the standards required.
• Ensuring that Purchase Orders are processed in a timely fashion
• Carrying out tendering activities
• Creating and monitoring of supply contracts
• Resolving any Invoice queries
• Maintaining the supplier database.

The ideal person for this role will:

• Be an experienced purchasing professional
• Have excellent computer proficiency and practical experience of using ERP / MRP systems.
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• CIPS diploma an advantage
