The Company
Opportunity to join a progressive industrial manufacturing company based in Pyle. Be part of a world leading company in their field. The company has been in operation in South Wales for over 70 years and is now part of a larger international group. Looking for a new team member in their busy productive warehouse.
The Role
Reporting to the warehouse supervisor this is a permanent full time position working a 40 hour week. It offers a 2 shift system working 06:00AM - 02:00PM week 1 and 10:00AM - 06:00PM week 2 then repeat. The use of forklifts is essential for this role. Applicants with in-house licenses from current or previous employment are welcome to apply.
You will be required to complete the follow duties:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse
- Taking goods to the appropriate storage space
- Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, M3, so that it can be located quickly
- Undertaking month end stock checks
- Operating a variety of forklift trucks to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored and labelled correctly and safely (especially chemicals)
- Picking orders allocated by Sales from the storage space and bringing them for final packing and checking to the despatch area for transportation
- Manually unstacking and restacking pallets where necessary
- Organising transfers between the warehouse and production areas ensuring timely issue and quantities required by production
- Helping production with forklift truck movements when necessary
- Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and associated vehicles will be part of the daily routine
- Conform with all required health and safety rules and to work in a responsible manner
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following experience qualifications and attributes:
- A solid background in warehouse operations is essential for this role
- Previous experience operating forklift trucks is essential
- Ideally, for this position you will have an up-to-date CPC licence coupled with a current FLT driver licence (counterbalance, pivot and reach)
- Experience driving a pivot-steer FLT would also be advantageous
- Previous stock control experience
- Must possess the ability to communicate well with peers and immediate supervisors
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently using your own initiative
- Good at following instructions
- Self motivated

Joint a reputable company in a full time permanent role. Offering a good salary plus shift allowance 10% for morning shift and 20% for afternoon shift. You will receive 23 days leave plus 8 statutory days, a company pension and a life Insurance policy.
