The Company

This fast growing organisation manufacture pressure vessels, heat exchangers and fabricated equipment. The business is based in the Abingdon area and are part of a larger International group. They have a world wide client base supporting clients from a wide range of industry sectors including OIl & Gas, Nuclear Power, Water Treatment and Heavy Industry.

The Role

This is a permanent full time position working 37 hours per week on a 2 shift system:

Early Shift : 05:45 - 12:45 Monday-Thursday and 05:55 - 13:00 Friday

Late Shift: 14:15 - 22.25 Monday - Thursday and 13:00 - 19:00 Friday

• Predominantly TIG welding - gaining and maintaining the required welding codes
• Understanding information prescribed within Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Carrying out all tasks to safety, quality and efficiency standards
• Non-welding activities e.g. forming, grinding, operating overhead cranes

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Confident TIG Welder
• Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to use a selection of fabrication techniques
• Any additional experience of MIG welding and working with pressure vessels would be advantageous but not essential
• Dye Penetrant, CSWIP or PCN2 qualifications an advantage
• Self-motivated and flexible in your approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Thrive working in a fast paced, solutions orientated environment
