The Company

This Swansea based provider of Safety and Workwear are part of a US owned Worldwide Group
supplying Workwear and PPE to customers throughout the UK. They have over 50 years experience servicing Local Authorities, NHS and a wide range of Engineering and Manufacturing clients in Wales and wider contracts throughout the UK. They are currently looking for a new person to join the sales team due to an upcoming retirement.

The Role

We are looking for Salesperson/ Business Development Manager to support the development of current contracts and business, with an emphasis on developing new business opportunities. The focus will be on new business in Wales but also supporting opportunities within the group throughout the UK.
Duties will include:

  • Selling the full product range which includes corporate wear, work wear with embroidery and printing services, head, hearing, eye and respiratory protection
  • Extensive business development across the entire potential range of business sectors
  • Management of existing accounts to ensure customer retention and further account development
  • Ensuring all client records and relevant record keeping is completed daily
  • Visiting clients and maintaining regular contact with current and potential clients
  • Working towards and achieving sales targets

This role would suit an applicant who has experience selling products across a diverse range of business sectors. Knowledge of the PPE industry would be ideal but applications are welcomed from BDM's with sales experience in any of the above sectors. The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
Extensive BDM / External Sales Representative experience essential

  • A proven sales track record in some or all of the client target market as detailed above
  • The ability to create new opportunities, securing new customers and contracts
  • Strong customer relationship building skills to further develop current contracts
  • To be in viable travelling distance of the Swansea office to be on site as and when required
  • Ability and willingness to develop product knowledge through Product training and technical support which will be provided as required
  • Current UK drivers license
  • A strong sales profile who can work well in a team environment too
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Solid communication skills both verbal and written

In Return

This role comes with a solid salary which will be paid based on relevant experience. In order to secure the higher end on offer, previous PPE sales experience would be required. The role also offers a company car, annual bonus scheme, car, pension, laptop and phone.
