The Company

This well established organisation produce fenestration and curtain walling products for use in the construction industry. They are growing and in need of a new member to join the design team.

The Role

You will be a key member of the Team providing estimates for curtain wall, doors and window façade to main contractors and customers. This is a full-time permanent position.
Working hours are Monday - Thursday 07:30AM - 04:30PM Friday 07:30AM - 13:30PM

Duties will include:

• Producing well-presented accurate, clear and timely quotes
• Regular liaison with customers regarding project details
• Offer Value Engineered solutions when appropriate
• Maximise best value by effective negotiation with customers and suppliers to secure project at best possible profit margin
• Ensuring excellent customer service and add value to the customer experience
• Working on MS Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Reading and understanding technical drawings including take offs

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Experience in the Façades sector of the construction industry is a prerequisite

• Understanding technical and professional aspects of work and continually maintain technical knowledge
• Analytical with an excellent eye for detail
• IT skills - MS Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, to be able to do take offs from drawings essential.
• Use of windows, door, curtain walling IT or similar estimating software preferred
• Relevant industry knowledge in particular - principles of building physics and structure in so much as it relates to our services
• Good knowledge curtain wall, doors and window façade products and current building regulations is essential
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good level of accuracy and administrative efficiency
• Ability to plan and schedule work
• Must have a strong level of numeracy
