CAD Engineer/ Designer

£33k - £36k depending on experience

A leading fabricator and installer of architectural aluminium products, working with household names within the building industry are currently looking to recruit a CAD specialist to join their team on the outside of Cardiff.

As part of a family run business, you will be an integral part of the company going forward being the conduit between clients and the company

The role

Your key responsibility will be responsible for the preparation of tender, conceptual elevation, general arrangement, detail, setting out and workshop drawings/schedules.

Additionally you will be a point of contact internally and with clients and take responsible for all the relevant administration that comes with such a role with regards to documentation that is required to adhere to building regulations. Undertaking design meetings with architects, clients and suppliers and also carrying out site surveys complete the scope of this role

The person

Experience in the aluminium commercial curtain walling, windows and door industry would be preferred but if you have experience within the construction industry with other products, we would like to hear from you

The key skills you will need are Autocad and a knowledge of buildings and engineering
