Technical Area Sales Manager

South East/Midlands

£competitive plus car allowance

A great opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South East region with an established manufacturer whose products are sold to a number of industries, ranging from Oil and Gas to Energy to Pharmaceutical

You will be responsible for growing market share and developing relationships and business opportunities with new, existing and dormant customers in an agreed regional area that encompasses the Midlands and South East.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritise and organize personal sales activities towards achieving agreed business aims
• Plan and manage personal business portfolio
• Contribute in the setting of future market development strategies.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers (and re-build sales with old / lost customers)
• Plan / carry out / support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales,
• Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings
• Undertake training and personal development in order to maximize effectiveness in post: develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.

The person

You will be an established sales person with experience of selling industrial products. Ideally you will have previous engineering experience although this is not essential

As this role will be home based, you will have experience of working remotely and managing your own diary/territory and the desire to put your stamp on the role
