My client's product range is at the cutting edge of parcel and logistics management. This is an amazing opportunity to make an invaluable contribution to the team and influence the sector as a Business Development Manager.

The Role:

To build business by establishing relationships with clients, using various methods and tools available. Make contact professionally via various mediums, to follow through to order placement stage. Aim to continually feed the sales department with an increased level of enquiries and gain a thorough understanding of the UK (or other geographical location) market activity.You may also be asked to fulfil any other Business development duties as they arise. Duties Include:

  • Drive new business through multiple sales channels and tools
  • Based in the office, working on the telephone
  • Gain a thorough understanding of market activity and where my client fits into this
  • Identify opportunities and ideas and share with the team during monthly sales meetings
  • Provide sales support to customers, act as the point of contact where appropriate and help develop customer's relationships
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients via email and telephone
  • To help and ensure that the organization understands and satisfies the customers' requirements
  • Work closely with internal personnel via email and telephone and assist with ad-hoc administration duties as and when required
  • Help to establish GDPR compliant contacts in order to communicate
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of this role

Requirements, the successful applicant will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Successful track record in sales or a solid background in customer support
  • Good knowledge of relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn about the services provided and be able to explain clearly and easily to the client
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection
  • Outstanding negotiation skills and ability to resolve situations
  • Excellent telephone manner
