Meet Nia, our wonderful welsh-speaking Contracts Manager. Nia joined our team at in 2020, and is now responsible for a vast range of duties including sourcing eligible candidates for specialist roles, reviewing resumes and leading in classroom-style inductions. Also responsible for hosting interviews, running payroll and the allocation of staff absences and leave days, Nia is the lifeblood of some of our most substantial projects to date.

With over 15 years’ experience working within the recruitment industry, the fast-paced challenges of working with South Wales’ leading recruitment agency, is second nature for our skilled and talented Manager and Nia says she thrives on the busy chaos her daily schedule offers. Although, you might be surprised to know Nia’s success in the world of recruitment, followed a sharp change in career direction as she retired from the catering industry as a qualified chef.

Deciding to embark on new adventures, Nia enrolled on an administration college course before progressing into admin role at a local estate agent. Here, she unveiled a passion for something new before moving into recruitment, responsible for administrational duties. Throughout her career, Nia has secured consultancy roles in both permanent and temporary recruitment before swiftly becoming a field-based contracts manager.

Nia is now happy and fully established in her position at Work Wales, and says she’s excited by the opportunity for future growth as the agency continues to expand. Outside of the office, you’ll find Nia in the outdoors, enjoying time with family on one of many camping adventures, but whilst reflecting on the Work Wales family, she says: “Being part of the team at work wales is rewarding, enjoyable and fun!
