Our History
Work Wales was established in January 2008 by the agency’s Directors, Sophie Turner and Christina Adams, following a life-long ambition to set up and manage their own business. The dream was to set themselves apart from other recruitment agencies by creating a pro-active, open-door organisation geared to help change people’s lives.
Both Sophie and Christina have extensive experience in personnel and recruitment. Their success in this field was the catalyst to the launch of Work Wales, an independent agency that would make an impact at a local level. Sophie and Christina met in previous employment and automatically become great working partners, their passion and determination to succeed in business was evident and both shared the same thought process in life ‘you get out what you put in’. The commitment and dedication to Work Wales coupled with their friendly and personable service is why Work Wales has been running so successfully since 2008.
The recession and strong competition from high Street agencies has not closed the doors of Work Wales and they aim to remain open for many years to come – changing the lives of once unemployed candidates while running a successful business is a clear and focussed goal.
