The Role:
My long standing and well established client based in Llandeilo is seeking an experienced purchase Ledger clerk within the Finance department, the successful candidate will be expected to perform general office administrative duties as below and aiding in the day-to-day running of a busy office based at their head office site.
My client is seeking a person who comes with experience working in an account's role, although the role will be to focus on Purchase ledger you will also be responsible for other duties up to management accounts level.
Key duties include but not extensive to are -
Receive and post all purchase invoices to Sage 200
Seek authorisation from the relevant manager/director for each invoice
Post stock invoices to Sage 200 once matched and approved
Arrange payments on weekly and monthly basis as agreed with Financial Controller
Post to Sage 200 payments made via direct debit/standing order
Send remittances to suppliers
Reconcile supplier statements
Deal with any supplier queries
Raise purchase orders for various department
telephone / admin cover as required
The successful person will be a hardworking individual who is willing to learn and is pragmatic and hands-on in their approach to working tasks. Someone who is willing to take on more responsibilities when required to cover for busy spells in the business.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines
Knowledge with credit control or/and purchase ledger
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
Will be committed to working within the Company Values
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel
Sage experience would be an advantage
