Maintenance Officer
Swansea
Full time - 37.5 hours a week.

My client is a not for profit business based in the beautiful Gower of Swansea, only 25 minute drive from the centre of Swansea. My client is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the business on a full-time permanent basis. To start as soon as possible.

To be successful for this role you will be someone with proven general DIY and maintenance skills and able to perform preventative and routine maintenance on a reactive basis, including painting and decorating and handling basic repair duties. You will be responsible for any gardening and ground works on the grounds surrounding the building. You will be in charge of overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Demonstrate experience in the use of hand and power tools.
You must have a driving licence and be able to drive a mini van and trailer, this is a requirement for the role. You will also be responsible to ensure all routine vehicle maintenance such as MOT and services are up to date.
You will be in charge of all tools including power tools and large gardening tools such as mowers, you will be able to liaise with the centre manager over all budgetary and financial issues.

The job will involve working both inside and outside (in all weathers when necessary) and will also involve liaising with other departments. You will be responsible for risk assessments and any health and safety compliance checks.

The right person for this role will be physically fit to carry out all maintenance work including lifting, moving materials and the use of ladders and platforms.
