A rare and exciting opportunity has come up with a growing business in Carmarthen. This engineering company is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team due to expansion and an influx of work flow.
This exciting role offers the right person a highly competitive salary and opportunity to travel worldwide. You will ideally come from an engineering background and be business minded including sales and be target driven.
Typically the right person for this role will be to a degree standard in one of the following subjects - marketing, business management or engineering. Personal qualities, particularly the ability to communicate, plus sales experience and market knowledge, are as important as formal qualifications.
In this role you will be responsible for following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings, planning and preparing presentations, establishing and maintaining working relationships, assisting the development of marketing literature, administering accounts and writing reports.
You will have good business sense, understanding about the market and competitor's products hence the experience in engineering is desirable. Due to travel included in the role you must be able to be self motivated but also be able to work as part of a team. You will have good negotiation skills and persuasiveness, be confident presenting to large groups of people, must have a smart appearance and professional manner. A well as being confident networking and meeting new people.
Due to the nature of the role you must have high energy levels and be willing and able to work long hours when required. Must be highly motivated towards achieving targets and must show a track-record of doing so as performance will be measured and rewarded by targets set. Someone who can see problems and use their own initiative to find and affect solutions. You will have excellent understanding of Microsoft office including PowerPoint, the successful candidate must be logical and numeric minded.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Manage the day-to-day running of key accounts, ensuring that the customer's schedules are updated, Prepare quotations for submittal to customers, Carry out follow-ups for certain customers' quotations, including recording and undertaking any required actions resulting from the follow-up, Prepare complex sealed bid quotations for submittal to customers, Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings.
