My client based in Carmarthenshire who work within the automotive sector are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team.
As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching your direct reports to become the best they can be.
You will also be responsible for supporting processes, systems, and mechanisms ensuring efficiency and quality through data-driven decision-making and analytical problem-solving.
·Supporting all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
·Leading and developing a team of team leaders (front-line supervisors) and production operators through using and embodying the companies core values.
·Acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
·Mentoring, training, and developing the team for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes
·Creating, communicating, and maintaining quality control policies and standard work procedures.
·Monitor and report on daily and weekly performance.
·Review trends, identify the gaps in performance metrics and take corrective actions.
·Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean methodology.
·Building and delivering productivity plans through work forecasts, determining productivity requirements.
·Partnering with other managers to share best practices across shifts.
·Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives though quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making
Qualifications and Experience
·Previous management experience in automotive, manufacturing or Production and or experience in managing front-line supervisors.
·As Production Supervisor you must have led or had participation in process improvements through Lean process, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
·Have the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and know how to motivate yourself and others to meet it.
·Excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills
·A forward thinker, with an ability to thrive on change.
·You enjoy working with numbers and have the ability to use data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
