A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Programmes to join a highly driven management team with one of our long-standing clients specialising in total water solutions who are
based in a stunning location in West wales area.
The position requires an individual with the ability to oversee multiple projects, prioritise work under pressure and demonstrate initiative in the running of the Programme Management Office. Please note this position may entail varying degrees of travel so you must be flexible to stay away from home and must be in possession of a passport & full driving license.
Programme Management Objectives:
Key deliverable: To ensure effective and quality implementation of the Companies Programmes, ensuring monitoring, evaluation and continuous learning informs programme implementation and design.
·Oversee the planning and delivery of all the companies water treatment projects accordance with the company strategy and Programme Strategies to ensure all external and internal Key Performance Indicators are met.
·To play a key role in the day to day running of the Operations team ensuring all targets are recorded and met
·To ensure effective implementation and management of the Programme Management office including managing resource allocation, logging project information, managing projects team, planning programmes and convergence, managing quality of project information, delivering projects and programmes from initial enquiry to installation and further
·Work with the business development team to lead enquiries into the operations department and turn them into workable water treatment proposals.
·Log Project information as metrics, showing quality and steering improvement.
·Develop new programme management initiatives to support the effective and quality delivery of the Programme portfolio.
·Ensure quality of programme delivery is given priority in all projects and that the companies PMO methodology is upheld and enhanced
·Develop and implement Programme goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programme.
·Ensure that all Programme activities are standardised and operate within all policies and procedures of the organisation and comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards.
·Oversee the writing of commercial proposals to clients, linking business development with technical and operational design departments.
·Identify and evaluate risks associated with the Programme activities and take appropriate action to control the risks including monitoring and updating programme convergence.
·Oversee and line manage Project Managers to effectively budget, monitor project spend, monitor project programmes and report success against KPI's and milestones.
·Experience in running a Programme office or compendium of projects
·Extensive experience effectively managing diverse teams
·Degree level in Management, Science or Water related discipline
·Experience of Project Management, leading projects from initial feasibility and scoping to delivery handover.
·Strong knowledge of project management techniques.
·Clean and waste water treatment experience would also be an advantage but not essential.
