Job Title: Automotive Electrician / Vehicle Electrical fitter

The Automotive Electrician / Vehicle Electrical fitter key tasks include hands on fitting and installations working on a variety of vehicles.

Experience on Airfield Ground Handling Equipment would be beneficial.
The Automotive Electrician / vehicle Electrical fitter must have good problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure when time scales are restricted to meet high quality standards.

The Automotive Electrician / vehicle Electrical fitter will be involved with wiring of vehicle electrical systems including tow bars, lighting, alarms, hydraulic pumps, tail lifts, reversing aids, etc

Knowledge is required to be able to advise and specify components used in vehicle conversion work and requires the ability to work to drawings and fitting Instructions, as well as clients specifications.

Essential

Vehicle assembly experience

Candidates must be time served with an indentured apprenticeship

Proven experience of working on vehicles.

Must be available to work on a 3 shift system

Must have a UK work permit

Must carry out a competence test during interview

2x References prior to employment commencing.

Desirable

Experienced on Vehicle and Plant equipment

Understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH, Risk assessments and Fire Safety

Understanding of ISO 9001Quality System

Class 1 License
